Blizzard Earn 3 Points at Home

The Blizzard had quite the weekend fighting one of the league's top teams and blowing past another.

It was a three point weekend for the Blizzard that started with a long game against the Steinbach Pistons. The Pistons must have been slapping the cylinders that night after serving 16 minutes across 8 players in the penalty box versus the Blizzards 6 minutes.

Keenan McNeil helped force the game into what would be a scoreless overtime period after scoring two of the three goals during regular play, the other of which was scored by Miguel Bouvier early in the third period, tying the game at 3 all before an overtime shootout resulted in a Pistons win.

On Saturday the Blizzard earned their second shutout of the season only a week after earning their first with a 4-0 win against the Selkirk Steelers.

Riley See and Sam Zagari each scored during the first while Keenan McNeil scored another two goals only two minutes apart in the third to end the weekend on a high for the Blizzard.

The team heads to Selkirk for round two on Friday.
