OCN Blizzard Make The Series 2-1

The OCN Blizzard hit the ice strong last night, pulling ahead 2-1 in their playoff series against the Virden Oil Capitals. Riley Zimmerman opened up scoring early in the first period but the Oil capitals pushed ahead 2-1 with a goal from Colten Miller a minute later and Roux Bazin with 3 seconds left before heading into the second period.

 

Alex Bernaur was on fire during the final 40 minutes of play, scoring two goals during the second period and pushing the Blizzard back in the lead. Michael Hlady finished off the 2nd period with a goal to push ahead 4-2 before heading into the third.

 

Andrew Blocker scored 49 seconds into the third period for the  Oil Capitals, closing the gap to a one goal lead until half way through the period. Alex Bernaur scored his third, making it a hat trick to keep the gap at 2 goals for the OCN Blizzard before Nolan Chastko scored the final Virden goal of the night. in a similar fashion to the first period the Blizzard scored once more with only 2 seconds to go, shot by none other than Alex Benaur to end the night 6-4. They face Virden again tonight at 7:30 before returning home in preparation for Fridays game in the GLMC.
