The OCN Blizzard are prepping for a 2 day road trip to Virden after trading wins over the weekend.
On Friday The Virden Oil Captials opened up scoring 13 minutes into the first period. A quick second period with no penalties on either side saw Darik Feasey score the first OCN Blizzard Playoff goal of the year but it was short lived as Colten Miller scored his second goal to push the Oil capitals ahead 3-1.
After a huge penalty dealing, with 8 minutes being split amongst both teams half way through the third period Ashton Paul scored a goal but the Virden Oil Capitals wrapped 4-2 to end the night.
On Saturday the OCN Blizzard fought back with goaltender Chase Hamm only letting one get past him the entire game. A goal by captain Riley Zimmerman in the second period and two from Drayden Kurbatoff in the third ended the night 3-1 for the Blizzard.
The Blizzard head to Virden tomorrow for a pair of games before returning to the GLMC this Friday at 7:30PM. Both games can be heard on 102.9 CJAR with the pre-game show starting at 7:15p.m.
