The OCN Blizzard earned another 3 points over the weekend as the final battle for a spot in the playoffs continues.

On Friday the Blizzard hosted the Niverville Nighthawks. Ryan Monias scored an early goal 1 minute into the first period followed by a goal from Eduard Wruck 14 and a half minutes in. Brett Ward scored in the second period and Kieran Cooke and Matthew Langdon each scored in the third to end the night 5-1.

Saturday's game against the Pistons saw neither team scoring despite a 35-23 shots on goal lead for the Pistons. Chase Hamm of the Blizzard and Cole Plowman of the Pistons both preformed phenomenally, taking the game all the way to the final shoot out before the Pistons outscored the Blizzard 3-2.

The Blizzard are getting ready for the final two games of the regular season coming up this weekend when the face the Waywayseecappo Wolverines at home Friday and away Saturday.
