Dauphin King’s Alumni Barry Trotz reached an incredible milestone last night after coaching his 1,700th game in the NHL!
Barry is only the third coach in NHL history to pass that milestone, following behind Joel Quenneville at 1,730 games and Scotty Bowman, who's coached 2,141 games.
Barry began his coaching career in 1984 with The University of Manitoba and then the Dauphin Kings the following season.
His career with the NHL began in 1997 with the Nashville Predators, followed by The Washington Capitals and New York Islanders. Barry won the Stanley Cup in 2018 while coaching the Capitals.
