Liberal MP Lenore Zann who is a strong advocate for Indigenous Peoples spoke to Arctic Radio News last week about how she is working to make things better for Indigenous Peoples.
She talked about her private members bill that would address environmental racism especially when it pertains to indigenous communities.
Many Indigenous peoples in Northern Manitoba and across the country are either homeless or live in homes that are not safe to live in.
Zann feels that Canadians that have a place to call home stand a better chance of having a good life, and that having access to safe drinking water is a human right.
