Opaskwayak Cree Nation has announced the completion of a history resource book for the students of Joe A Ross School and Oscar Lathlin collegiate that explores the rich history of the community. The book is called “Opaskwayak Cree Nation-Exploring and Reconnecting with Our Past”.

A special press conference will be held this afternoon at 1:30 at the OCN veteran’s hall where Chief Christian Sinclair, Education Director Bev Fontaine and the book’s author Blanche Cowley Head will speak about how the book will teach students about the history of OCN through the school curriculum.
