Our member of parliament Niki Ashton recently released her MP report and said that she has visited extensively throughout our region. Ashton has visited many Northern Manitoba communities to talk to residents and listen to their concerns. Her report said that keeping in touch is her top priority.

During her visits she heard concerns about economic uncertainly in communities like Thompson and Flin Flon, and the ongoing railway crisis in Churchill. She also heard concerns about housing, health care, education and transportation.

Ashton said the one common message is that many people in this region feel that they are ignored and our region deserves better.
