The Pas Local News

A by-law for an assistance program for a forestry stabilization grant project passed its second a third readings at The Pas Council Meeting on Monday night.

Last year Tolko announced that they would be closing their Mill and Canadian Kraft paper would be taking over operations.

The mill needed help with cutting rights and needed financial aid from the town. The grant will help to ensure the sustainability of the forestry and paper making industry. You can find a copy of the by law on the towns website.
