Premier Biran Pallister and Growth, Enterprise and Trade Minister Cliff Cullen have announced the next phase of the government's "Look North" strategy.

Pallister explained the strategy encourages those from outside northern Manitoba to consider investing in the region.

It includes a website - look north M-B dot C-A - which has information on building a business in northern Manitoba.

It also encourages Manitobans to share their vision and love for the north by submitting short videos and photos or through social media by using the hashtag Look North M-B.

A plan i salso in development to engage First Nation communities with interest in increasing their participation in the economic benefits of mining.

Three northern economic summits will be held in The Pas, Thompson and Churchill in April.
