Thanks to a quick response from the OCN fire department Thursday night a fire was contained to limited damage.  Joan Niquanicappo the Opaskwayak Cree Nation General Manager talks about more about the damages.

"The Hilda Young Child Care Centre, a section of it that was on fire, but we did get a quck response from the OCN RCMP and the OCN Fire Department, they were able to minimize the damage to the facility."

The OCN RCMP is still investigating and it does appear to be arson. The fire started with a play structure that then spread to the side of a storage shed, and to the siding of the child care building which sustained heat damage.
