After a public hearing March 29th Town of The Pas Council officially approved a condition use last night for Swampy Cree Tribal Council to build a receiving home at 157 Bell Avenue. Numerous residents spoke at the public hearing against the home to be built at the location. Mayor Jim Scott and council approved the conditional use by a vote of 6-0 last night. Mayor Scott says it’s a great investment in our communities economy. The home will provide 14 full and 5 part time jobs. Construction is expected to begin this summer.
