Dog Sled Races are a staple event in the Northern Manitoba Trappers Festival, and this year will be no different.  The World Championship 10 Dog Race is a 3 day-3 lap 105 Mile Race, running from Thursday-Saturday beginning at 10AM, The  6 dog Jack Mcphail Race takes place at 10:30 Friday and Saturday morning, for 15 miles each day. There is also a 4 dog race, and a Junior race held on Saturday. There is more than 52 thousand dollars in prize money to be won for racers who travel to The Pas from around the world each year to compete.
