It appears the winter break was much needed for the OCN storm as it resulted in back-to-back wins against the Cross Lake Islanders over the weekend. On Saturday the OCN Storm hosted the Islanders in both team's first game back, ending with an impressive 9-2 win. On Sunday the Storm won with a final score of 10-4 against the Islanders. 4 of those goals were scored by Drew Peters, who now is only one point away from reclaiming his spot as the KJHL's scoring leader. It seems the holidays breathed some much-needed life into the team but they still have a battle ahead of them if they want to make the playoffs this year. The OCN Storm now sit in 5th place in the KJHL, 6 points behind the Norway House North Stars for the final playoff spot. The OCN Storm host the NCN Flames this weekend in a pair of games on Saturday and Sunday.
