Blizzard Earn Four at Home

The Blizzard had a successful weekend at home that propelled them in the standings. On Friday after a scoreless first period for both teams Riley See scored midway through the second, opening up scoring for the Blizzard and heading into the third period 1-0. Only 3 minutes into the third period Carter McLeod scored for the Titans during a power play, but the tie was short lived as Keenan Mcneill scored his 6th goal of the season only 39 seconds later. Riley See scored again in the final 2 minutes of play as the Blizzard took the night 3-2 against the Titans.

On Saturday the Blizzard not only held their ground, but they kept most of the action in the offensive zone. Eric Mork opened up scoring for the Blizzard and Brett Ward ended the period 2-1 for the Blizzard. Despite a 5 on 3 advantage for the Titans the Blizzard held their ground and kept the puck out of their net for the entirety of the second period. Adam Belzil scored early into the third period and 19 minutes later the game would end 3-1 for the Blizzard.

The team earned 4 points over the weekend, pushing them past the Waywayseecappo Wolverines Who lost to the Dauphin Kings 5-3 on Friday followed by a postponed match against the Portage Terriers on Sunday. The Blizzard are back at the Roy H Johnston Arena tomorrow as they face the division trailing Swan Valley Stampeders.
