The NFL has adopted use of the "Rooney Rule." this means whenever a team is interviewing for co-ordinator or head coach possitions the teams must interview minority candidates from outside of the organization.

teams will have to interview a minimum of two for head coach and one for co-ordinator possitions.

the rule is named after former Pittsburgh owner Dan Rooney.
