OCN Blizzards Last Home Game Of The Regular Season

The last OCN Blizzard home game of the regular season will be played tonight at 7PM. They will be taking on the Swan Valley Stampeders and we will have all the action here on 102.9 CJAR with Marty Martinson. The Blizzard has clinched a playoff position and they sit in 4th place in the MJHL.

OCN Storm Weekend Action

The OCN Storm played two home games over the weekend. They pulled off a win on Saturday night against the St Malo Warriors 6-5 but the Warriors redemed themselves when they won 5-3 on Sunday afternoon.

 

The Storm will be on the road this weekend and will play in St Malo.

OCN Blizzard Wins in Overtime

The OCN Blizzard didn't have much luck on Saturday night when they lost 4-1 but they managed to beat the Neepawa Natives in overtime last night 6-5 in their last road trip of the regular season. Their next game will be play at home at The Gordon Lathlin Memorial Centre at 7PM on Wednesday.

Busy Weekend For MBCI Athletes

It was a busy weekend for athletes at MBCI. The curling teams played in the provincials in Winkler where they lost their first game then lost their second game in extra ends. Meanwhile the Junior varsity girls and boys basketball teams played the zone 11 finals in Thompson and both teams lost to Thompson. Finally the senior varsity boys played at a tournament in Dauphin where they won there first game against Russel and went to side A but lost their other two games to Dauphin and Swan River.

 

The senior boys and girls varsity basketball finals will be played in Norway house this weekend and the Scott Bateman boys basketball team will be playing in Dauphin.

Blizzards Last Road Trip of The Season Continues

The OCN Blizzard’s last road trip of the season continues tonight with a stop in Waywayseecappo. The Blizzard will wrap up the trip in Neepawa where they face the Natives both Saturday and Sunday night. All 3 games will be broadcast on 102-9  CJAR. OCN’s final game of the regular season is at home against the Stampeders on Wednesday.

OCN Storm At Home This Weekend

The OCN Storm will have home ice advantage when they face St. Malo for games both Saturday and Sunday. Puck drops Saturday night at 8 and Sunday afternoon at 2:30. Tickets for both will be available at the gate.

Blizzards Final Road Trip of The Season Begins With a Loss

The OCN Blizzard’s final road trip of the regular season kicked off with a loss. The Blizzard fell 3-2 in a shootout with the Terriers in Portage. OCN is in 4th place in the MJHL. Their next game is Friday night in Waywayseecappo.

MBCI Varsity Teams on The Road

Athletes at MBCI are on the road. The MBCI curling team will play in the curling provincials in Winkler from today until the 24th. Meanwhile the boys and girls junior varsity basketball teams will be going to the zone 11 finals in Thompson from February 23rd to the 24th and the senior varsity boys basketball team is headed to Dauphin for an invitational tournament that runs from the 23rd to the 24th.

OCN Blizzard On The Road

The OCN are on the road this morning. The Blizzard face the Terriers in Portage at 7:30 tonight in one of three games on the schedule. The next live broadcast will be on Friday when OCN are in Waywayseecappo.

OCN Blizzard Have A Winning Weekend At Home

The OCN Blizzard had a winning weekend at home. The Blizzard beat Waywayseecappo 3-2 at the Roy H. Jonhston Arena on Friday. OCN again shadowed the Wolverines, 2-1 at the GLMC Saturday night. The Blizzard will next hit the road for a 4-game trip that starts in Portage on Wednesday.

OCN Storm Long Weekend Action

The OCN Storm had just one game on the long weekend. The Storm fell 5-4 to the North Stars Saturday night.

A Big Win For The Blizzard

The Blizzard got a big win at home last night. The OCN Blizzard welcomed the Dauphin Kings to the GLMC and sent the Kings back home with a 7-4 loss. Brady Valliquette and Brayden Dale each scored a hat trick in the win. OCN are back at it Friday when they host Waywayseecappo at the Roy H. Johnston Arena in The Pas.

The OCN Blizzard will host the Dauphin Kings at the GLMC tonight. The puck drops at 7, but come early and join us as it’s 102-9 CJAR night at the arena. Meet YOUR Radio Station on-air personalities and staff. We’ll have plenty of giveaways and a free Valentine’s Day draw.

OCN Blizzard Weekend Results

The OCN Blizzard had 3 games in as many nights over the weekend. The Blizzard were in Winkler, winning Friday’s game 4-1. It took a shootout for the Flyers to take Saturday’s game 5-4. On Sunday, OCN fell 6-3 to Neepawa. The Blizzard get 2 days of skate time before hosting Dauphin on Wednesday.

A Tough Weekend for The OCN Storm

The OCN Storm had an unprecedented losing weekend at home. The Storm lost in a shootout, 7-6 to the Peguis Juniors on Saturday. Peguis dumped OCN 7-3 on Sunday. The Storm still sit in second place in the KJHL, two points back of Selkirk.

School Basketball Tournament Results

It was a busy weekend for school basketball teams.

 

The MBCI Junior Girls Varsity team played in the Gilbert Plains tournament over the weekend. Even though they lost all three of their games they still played extremely well. Meanwhile the varsity boys came in second place overall winning three games out of four at their tournament in Minnedossa and the senior varsity girls came in 3rd place in the B side of their tournament in Flin Flon.

 

The Scott Bateman Middle School boys and girls basketball teams also played in a tournament in Swan River on Saturday. One of the boy’s teams came in third while the other boys team came in 4th and the girls team came in 5th place.

OCN Blizzard Weekend Action

The OCN Blizzard have a full weekend road trip scheduled. The Blizzard play Winkler back to back tonight and tomorrow night. OCN is in Neepawa on Sunday. Tonight’s and tomorrow’s game will start at 7:30. Sunday has a 6:30 start. All 3 will be broadcast on 102.9 CJAR.

OCN Storm at Home this Weekend

The OCN Storm will play host to the Peguis Juniors tomorrow and Sunday. Saturday’s game starts at 8. Sunday is a matinee game. Puck drops at 1:30. Tickets will be available at the gate for both.

School Basketball Tournaments This Weekend

The MBCI senior varsity girls Basketball team is playing in a tournament today and tomorrow in Flin Flon. The junior varsity girls basketball team will play in a tournament in Gilbert Plains, and the junior varsity boys will be playing in a tournament in Minnedosa. The boys and girls basketball teams at Scott Bateman middle school are in a tournament in Swan River on Saturday.

40th Annual Grub Box Atom Tournament Results

The 40th Annual Grub box Atom Tournament was held in The Pas over the weekend and The B division grub box cup was won by The Pas Huskies with a score of 6-3 over Thompson. Also the A division morrish cup was won by Thompson with a score of 4-3.

 

The Double A division Grub Box cup was won by Thompson Over Swan River 6-3, and T

MBCI Boys Curling Tournament Results

The MBCI Boys had 3 teams at a curling zones tournament in Flin Flon on the weekend. MBCI Team 1 went 5 games undefeated to win the event. Gillam came second. MBCI 2 finished 3rd while MBCI 3 finished 4th.

OCN BLizzard Win One of Two Weekend Games

The OCN Blizzard got one of two at this GLMC on the weekend. Neepawa beat OCN 3-1 on Friday. The Blizzrd blanked Winkler. OCN is off this week. Their next play is in Winkler on Friday

OCN Strom Weekend Action

The OCN Storm had two games over the weekend. The Juniors trumped OCN 7-6. That game in Peguiswent to a shootout. On Saturday, the Storm doubled North Winnipeg 4-2.

OCN Storm On The Road This Weekend

The OCN Storm are on the road this weekend. The Storm face the Juniors in Peguis tonight and head to our capitol tomorrow to take on the North Winnipeg Satellites. The Storm sit second in the KJHL, 2 points back of Selkirk and 2 ahead of Peguis.
