Olympic Silver Medalist Brigitte Lacquette visited The Pas recently and she conducted a speech at the Roy H Johnston Arena. Lacquette played for the Canadian woman’s hockey team at the 2018 Winter Olympics and they won silver medal.

During her presentation she talked about her career as a hockey player and the obstacles that she had to overcome and the most important message she delivered was that it doesn’t matter where you come from you can always achieve your dreams.”

She feels that representing first nations will give other first nations people feelings of hope.
