Opaskwayak Cree Nation issued a statement on Friday regarding an incident at Rod McGillivary Memorial Care Home.

The incident was talked about on social media and although the shared concern regarding patient care within the elder’s home on OCN is appreciated and the value in engaging with one another on social media is understood, OCN members are reminded to make official complaints to appropriate authorities.

The Opaskwayak Health Authority has a quality and safety coordinator at the Beatrice Wilson Health Centre and the position was created to help community members with concerns and incidents regarding patient care within all of OCN’S health facilities.
