Opaskwayak Cree Nation Chief Christian Sinclair conducted a presentation yesterday at The First Nations National Land Governance and Economic Development Conference and Trade Show in Winnipeg.

The presentation outlined the importance of economic development for OCN and he talked about some of the business ventures undertaken by the community including the three million dollar investment made to National Access Cannabis and the development of a legal cannabis dispensary on OCN.

According to the Lands Advisory Board and the First Nations Land Management Resources Centres Website the purpose of this conference is to show how First Nations peoples have been able to develop new economic development trends.
