The Wabowden RCMP received a report of a possible impaired driver in a pickup truck heading North on Highway 6 last Friday. The police found the vehicle four kilometers south of provincial road 373 and saw it was driving erratically.

 

A traffic stop was put in place and one officer saw a small plastic bag thrown from the window. The officer located the bag and the contents of the bag was tested and determined to be cocaine.

 

The Pas Police Dog Services attended the scene and located another bag of cocaine near the vehicle and they also found open liquor, money, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle and a total of 57 grams of cocaine was seized at the scene.

 

There were four occupants of the vehicle and one of the occupants was 26 year old Christopher Head of The Pas who was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, Possession of Property obtained by crime and identity theft. The vehicles Driver Allan Cromarty of Norway House and Passenger Arnold Bourassa of Thompson have been given similar charges.

 

The forth occupant of the vehicle fled the scene on foot and the police are still searching for him. The missing suspects name is not known.
