The Moose Lake RCMP received a report of an assault with a weapon at a residence on Popular Street in the community early last Saturday morning. Police were advised that a 20 year old male had been sprayed with bear mace.
The suspect was indentified as 20 year old Michael Campbell and he was located at a nearby residence and was arrested for assault with a weapon. He was searched by police and they found 33 grams of cocaine and large amount of Canadian money on him.
Campbell has also been charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, possession of property obtained by crime, and resisting arrest. He has since been released and he will appear in The Pas Provincial Court on June 4th
The investigation is continuing.
