The Town of The Pas held a public hearing on Wednesday evening to give people the opportunity to learn about this years financial plan and to ask questions or bring up any concerns that they had. The financial plan was presented at the hearing and according to the presentation there will be a decrease in assessment, an increase in the mill rate, a policing cost increase, a deficit recovery, and the completion of the Larose Avenue Project in this year’s financial plan.

The financial plan passed its first reading on Wednesday night and it’s expected to pass its second and third readings at Monday night’s council meeting.
