The Town of The Pas will be having a special council meeting tonight at 6:30. The meeting is set to take place after the public hearing for the 2018 budget and the meeting will include the first reading of this year’s financial plan and they will be voting on whether or not the town should take ownership of a spray park in the town.
The Pas Families Building a Better Community Group is planning to apply for grants that would help them get the money they need for the park but they can’t apply for these grants until the question of ownership is dealt with. The grant applications have to be in before May 28th.
Mayor Jim Scott believes that the resolution for the Town to take ownership of the spray park will pass and The building a better community group will continue raising funds to offset the costs of a park once its completed.
