The War Amps of Canada will be mailing their key tags across the province to everyone that has a drivers license this week. The War Amps lost key return service was started after the Second World War by amputee veterans that wanted to provide services to Canadians while making money to pay for services that would help them.
The key tags work with a 9 digit number on the tags that are linked to your name and address. If you attach the tag to your keys and if you lose them they can be returned to you by the War Amps if they are found.
The War Amps have receives donations from people that have their keys returned to them. If you don’t receive your key tags in the mail you can order them online at waramps.ca or call 1-800-250-3030. The War Amps have returned 1.5 million sets of lost keys since the program started.
