Members of the Clearwater Lake Social Club brought forward a special business proposal to The Pas Town Council on Monday evening. Club member Karen Driedger says they are looking at starting a marketing campaign and fundraiser where they would lottery off one of the lots at Clearwater Lake and the proceeds from those funds would go towards renovating the Social Club Hall.

The marketing campaign would be online and its purpose would be to get people interested in the lots that are for sale. The goal of having one piece of land won in a lottery is to build some excitement around the other lots that are for sale in The Clearwater Lake area.

Driedger went on to say that mayor and council responded with a lot of interest as well as some concern on how it would impact the rest of the community. The representatives from the social club hope to have more discussions with mayor and council on this plan in the future.
