November 8th was Aboriginal Veterans Day and OCN Held a ceremony at the cemetery at Big Eddy to acknowledge the veterans of OCN. They had a small ceremony with flags and families members of OCN veterans had a chance to speak.
Vice Onekanew Jennifer Flett said that they are looking for input from community members on whether this ceremony should be the main ceremony for Aboriginal Veterans Day next year and the years to come.
People can give their input by attending Aboriginal Veterans Day meetings that are called by OCN. Flett added that the ceremony went really well and she would like to thank everyone that came out.
