This week is the last week to fill shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. A project run by Samaritans Purse that sends gifts to less fortunate children in third world countries and this is the 20th year that it has being run in The Pas.

 

This year boxes can be picked up at the Library, The Grub Box, ACE Hardware the Northern Lights Dollar Store, or participating churches in town.

 

When you a fill a box you are asked to choose whether you will be giving the box to a boy or a girl as well as an age category. Shoebox items can include, toys such as balls, yo-yo’s, skipping ropes and school supplies. Shoeboxes cannot include any war related toys or toy weapons, used or broken items, food, liquids, aerosol cans, or glass items.

filled shoe boxes can be dropped off at the regional library, the Grub Box or at participating churches.

 

The deadline to drop off boxes is November 18th.
