Canadian Kraft Paper Celebrates One Year Anniversary with a Great Success Story

Today is the one year anniversary of the day that Canadian Kraft Paper an affiliate of American Industrial Acquisition Corporation purchased the paper mill here in The Pas.

A year ago things were not looking good for the mill as there were no paper orders, no contracts in place for fibre supply, a concerned uncertain workforce, and a mill that needed major maintenance.

Senior Vice President of AIAC Tony Zandos says that after a year they now have a strong order book, an abundant fibre supply, and major financing and equipment refurbishment programs have been completed.

Mill Manager Andre Murphy stated in a news release that they have a five year strategic plan for continued investments in capital projects that will see the mill evolve as they continue to produce high quality Kraft paper grades.

Zandos added that This Achievement would not have been possible without the vision, hard work, dedication, and commitment of all those employed at CKP and those that supported them along the way. Including The Town of The Pas, OCN and The RM of Kelsey.
