A mult imillion dollar maintenance project for OCN’s Aerated Lagoon is underway. The project involves having sod put over the aging lagoon. According to Community Works and Operations Manager Zacc Moore the lagoon has reached its life span and they received funding from Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada to conduct the project.

The project will be conducted by a joint venture of the Paskwayak Construction Company and a company out of Dauphin called Strilkiwski Contracting Limited. The project will cost around 17.3 million dollars and the construction on the lagoon is expected to be completed by October of next year.
