The support for The Oscars Place Homeless Shelter from The community is continuing and last Friday a special event called “Cold Night Out” was held to support the Homeless Shelter. Participants of the event showed their support for the shelter and the homeless by staying outside all night living the life of a homeless person.

Olivia McCorriston the chair for the Stand Up for Oscars Place Group says they had a great turnout and a lot of the participants had an emotional response to this experience. Some of the participants included, Jennifer Flett Vice Onekanew for OCN, Chad Zolinski Town Councilor for The Pas, and MLA Amanda Lathlin.

The next Stand Up for Oscars Place meeting is scheduled to take place at the UCN Lobby this Saturday at 3PM and the next event being held to support Oscars Place will be held next month and will involve cleaning up the Shelter.
