Last Week,The Pas Mayor Jim Scott had a meeting with RCMP Staff Sergeant Brent Mattice. Scott says the meeting was called over concerns that there may be an arsonist in town. Despite all of the recent fires the RCMP is very certain that there is no arsonist in The Pas.

They aslo talked about the traffic service in the community. A few years ago a deal was negotiated where the traffic services division in Cranberry Portage was to transfer to The Pas. The main reason behind the transfer is the policing rates are the highest expense that the town pays for, just under three million dollars a year.

Scott hopes increase the number of members assigned to traffic services in The Pas.
