The First Nations of Northern Manitoba Child and Family Services Authority announced on Friday they have reached and signed a co-management agreement, with the Island Lake First Nation Family Services.

Bryan Hart the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Northern Authority says “The Northern Authority looks forward to working in a collaborative manner with the board to support the operations."

The terms of the agreement will look at addressing labour management issues, and ensure fiscal management and reporting.

The agreement says both authorities will establish a work plan to be approved by both groups within 30 days.
