The biggest fishing weekend in Northern Manitoba is finally here. The 22nd annual Bill Bannock fishing Derby is Saturday followed by the Flinty Fishing Derby in Flin Flon on Sunday. Jeremy Wachel with the rotary club of The Pas says that weather conditions for the Fishing derby are looking very favorable. The derby has over 100-thousand dollars in prizes available include 25-thousand to the biggest fish and 25-thousand to anyone who catches lonesome Mary. For $20 there’s also a shuttle service available from the Aseneskak Casino to the derby and back.
