Manitoba's elections watchdog is investigating whether Eric Robinson, an NDP MLA and the province's aboriginal and northern affairs minister, struck a political deal with the OCN Chief. PC MLA Kelvin Goertzen explained the allegations contained in the letter about the possibility of a deal, if proven to be true, would be a breach of the elections act. As under this act you aren't able to offer anything for support, for voting, or for not voting, in some cases.Goertzen says the PCs asked the elections commissioner’s investigation be complete as soon as possible but admits they didn’t put the commissioner on a specific time frame. NDP MLA Eric Robinson said Thursday, the commissioner's investigation will exonerate him, and that it is indeed a false accusation.
