World Leprosy Day is a day to raise awareness for the disease that many think is a thing of the past World Leprosy Day is Sunday January 31st this year. Although there are rarely any cases of Leprosy in Canada, the disease still affects people around the world to this day. Researchers are still unaware of how the disease is transmitted, but there are devastating effects on the patient, from blindness, Skin, Limb and Nerve damage, to disfigurement and loss of limbs.
