Communities Will Benefit From Christmas Kettles

Across the country the Salvation Army continues to help people throughout the year. They report this holiday season thanks to donors, volunteers and community partners they raised over 22 million dollars nationally during their 125th Christmas kettle campaign. That surpassed their goal of 21 million dollars. The Christmas kettle campaign is held in more than two thousand locations across Canada as the Salvation Army’s annual fundraiser and is the largest charitable effort of the year for the non-profit organization. They note donations to the campaign will remain in the local communities in which they were raised and will help the Salvation Army  assist vulnerable people with basic necessities such as food, clothing, shelter and other provisions.
