With the holiday season being a busy time of year it might be easy to overlook some fire hazards around your home.

In order to protect your home from fire this Christmas The Pas Fire and Emergency Services offer a few holiday safety tips. Make sure your home has a Carbon Monoxide/ Smoke detector and it’s working.

Do not overload electrical outlets. Inspect light strings and extension cords for damage.If using candles burn them in proper holders on solid surfaces and keep them away from pets and children, and put  them out when leaving the room or going to sleep.
