Sunday is a special day, even here in The Pas. It’s the national day of remembrance and action on violence against women in Canada. Sunday marks the 26^th anniversary of the University of Montreal School shooting which killed 14 women injuring another 13. In The Pas Committee for Women in Crisis will be commemorating the day with information tables set up at the UCN and Otineka Mall. There have been at least 7 known violent deaths of women from our community, and they are asking everyone to spend part of the day remembering them.
