An awareness walk for missing and murdered aboriginal women and girls will take place this afternoon. The walk will start at the church of the redeemer at noon and will end at the Kikiwak Inn at 3:30pm. The walk will be held to raise awareness of all the cases of missing and murdered aboriginal women and girls. Across Canada over 200 cases of missing and murdered women remain unsolved. British Columbia has the highest number of unsolved incidents, at 65. Alberta is second with 51 cases, followed by Manitoba with 46 and Saskatchewan with 29.
