Amber Whitehead, the director of Kelsey Recreation says Bushcraft is a program designed to encourage people to get outside and learn some new skills.

 

Participants will learn all the basic wilderness skills, survival, snowshoeing, fire building, shelter making, navigation, and what it takes to survive in the winter, and Whitehead added that these skills would benefit those wanting to take part in some of the upcoming Trappers Festival events

 

It will run every Saturday from 1-3 starting January 17th, and for more information or to register you can contact the Wellness Centre..
