The Northern Manitoba Trapper’s Festival returns The Pas and OCN Feb. 18th to the 22nd. 

One of the main events during the festival is the Fur Queen Pageant. Chloe Dorion, one the organizers says the candidates host all kinds of individual fund raising events and you can suport them by attending and by purchasing tickets from them. 

Dorion says that all the money raised by the candidates fundraisers and ticket sales goes back to the festival so it is a way in which you can support the individual candidates as well as the festival as a whole.
 

The first big event for the fur queen candidates is a brunch on Jan.25th. There are nine girls running for queen.
