While there are no confirmed cases of Ebola in Canada, Manitoba Health says they are prepared in the unlikely event that there is a case of Ebola here in Northern Manitoba.
Ingrid Olsen, the Executive Director of Clinical Services for The Pas area says they are being pro active and ready with protocols and new outfits for Health care providers. She added that if it is determined that a person has a high likelihood of carrying the disease, the person would be transferred to Winnipeg Health Science Centre, which is the designated site for Manitoba.
